Edo Governor meets families of slain Kano hunters, repeats promise to deliver justice

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo has restated his promise to ensure justice is served on those behind last week’s killing of travelling hunters from Kano state at Uromi in Esan South West local government of Edo State.

Governor Okpebholo made the promise as he ended his condolence visit to Kano state after being led by his Kano state counterpart, Abba Yusuf to the two communities where the slain hunters came from in Rano Local Government area and met with their families

Okpebholo who spoke to the people in Hausa language called for calm, promising that the perpetrators will not only be punished, but adequate compensation would be paid.

The Edo governor who once lived in Kano state, addressed the mourners in Hausa language, who waited at for hours for his arrival in large numbers.

He was accompanied by his Kano state counterpart, Abba Yusuf and community leaders who made more demands for justice
