Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has called on the newly recruited men and officers of the Bauchi State Road Traffic Agency to operate within global best practice in sanitising various Roads so as to ensure safety and free flow of traffic across the state.
The Governor made the call during the passing out parade of the Newly recruited and trained five hundred Traffic Cadets and Road Marshals Under the Bauchi State Road Traffic Agency (BAROTA) Held at the Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu Square Government House Bauchi State North East Nigeria.
Inaugurating the first batch of the newly recruited and trained five hundred Traffic Cadets and Road Marshals, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed said the aim of establishing the Bauchi State Road Traffic Agency (BAROTA) is not only to provide jobs to the unemployed citizens but also to address Road traffic congestion, Accidents and enforce law and order on various roads due to population growth and development of the state.

Governor Bala Mohammed said plans are underway for the state to recruit more Personnel to reach the targeted number of two thousand Traffic Cadets and Road Marshals for effective service delivery in Bauchi and some major cities of the state.
The Director General, Bauchi State Road Traffic Agency, Retired Air Commodore Tijjani Gamawa enumerates some of the Agency’s achievements since it was established in 2020 under the Bauchi Road Traffic law assuring to do more .
The Federal Road Safety Corps Marshal represented by the Sector commander, Bauchi State command Istifanus Ibrahim among other speakers enjoined both Commercial and Private Road Users to ensure full compliance with Road Traffic Control management for the safety of all.
Highlight of the ceremony includes match pass and Decoration of some personnel during the three weeks training on road traffic management control and safety.
