New Year Briefing : Peter Obi Faults State Of Democracy In Nigeria

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi says democracy is faulty in Nigeria and opposition has become difficult in the current system.

The former presidential candidate said this in Abuja during his first new year briefing he titled : Nigeria needs selfless and exemplary leadership.

He dares president Bola Tinubu asking him to visit states and communities, saying that the poverty in the country is alarming.

The Labour Party became third force during the 2023 election which is currently seen as dismantled by the quality of opposition.

The leader and main opposition voice, Peter Obi says the current system is making opposition very weak as he risks family and business.

Peter Obi urged the president to show exemplary leadership by touring the country to see the level of sufferings in Nigeria.

He said Nigeria remains one of the poverty capitals of the world, with over 100 million people living in extreme poverty with more than 150 million in multidimensional poverty.
